About Carbon Offsets 101

The idea of carbon offsets is that a company or individual emitting greenhouse gases (GHGs) in one place can “offset” those emissions by avoiding the emissions of GHGs or removing GHGs from the atmosphere somewhere else. But while the idea is straightforward, offsets have proven to be anything but simple to implement. This free introductory carbon offsets course includes 6 lessons covering carbon offset basics.
